So, slow down, take your time and savour 25 carefully selected terroir wines for one convenient price.
Tasting at the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake is so simple with this pass. To taste the Winemaker’s Selection at each winery, simply present your printed ticket, or the digital device you’ve used to download the ticket, to the tasting bar staff so they may scan it for you.

TASTING PASS GUIDELINES
- We want your tasting pass experience to be as outstanding as we can possibly make it, so we suggest you read-up on some of the helpful guidelines listed below.
- The tasting pass is valid only at the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake included in this tasting.
- Tasting pass holders must be 19 years of age or over to redeem wine tastings.
- Tasting pass holders will receive one tasting of a Winemaker’s Selection wine at each participating winery based on redemption of a tasting token at each winery.
- To redeem a tasting token at a winery, you must present the tasting pass and hand over the applicable winery tasting token to a member of the winery tasting staff, touring staff, winery boutique staff or a member of winery management staff.
- Each tasting token equals one-two fluid oz. pour of a Winemaker’s Selection wine.
- No refunds will be given by the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake and/or any other applicable vendors of the tasting pass.

2015 Cabernet ‘Leon’ Reserve (W, O)
“Cabernet ‘Leon’ is a tribute wine to my brother’s second born son, Leon. We harvested the fruit of our finest Cabernet Franc vines and crafted a fantastic Niagara Red. 2017 Aligoté, Estate Grown & Bottled (W, O, L)
“Aligoté is a rare vitis vinifera variety native to the Burgundy region of France. Aligoté can be a chameleon by exuberantly expressing its terroir. Our Aligoté will remind you of green apples and fresh pears on the nose while on the palate the minerality and zing of crisp acidity is mouth watering. That’s why we believe it doesn’t need to be oak aged – its delicious on its own.” Winemaker – Amélie Boury
2016 Estate Chardonnay (W,O)
“From our Red Paw soil our Chardonnay has been in Hungarian and French oak for 9 months which gives notes of vanilla, ripe pear and McIntosh apple. On the palate, flavours of caramel, butterscotch and honey with a mid-cream oak finish.” Winemaker-Dave Sheppard
2016 Frontier Chardonnay (W)
“Chardonnay has always been known as “The Winemakers Grape” as it can be crafted into many different styles. By aging this chardonnay partly in oak and partly in stainless steel, it matured into exactly what we were aiming for; a beautiful, balanced wine, with crisp acidity and rich with fruit character.” Winemaker & Owner – John Hare

2017 Riesling Icewine (W, O)
“Riesling not only makes timeless dry and semi-sweet wines, but it also makes some of the world’s best Icewines. The Inniskillin Riesling Icewine has the perfect crisp acidity which is so important for this concentrated classic wine. 2016 Grand Reserve Red Meritage (W, O)
“Our Grand Reserve Red Meritage is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine went through cold maceration followed by fermentation and maceration with select yeast for 15 days. It was then barrel aged for over 15 months. The Red Meritage is smooth and full bodied with notes of dark cherry, blueberry, cassis and mocha with velvety tannins on the finish. “ Winemaker – Marco Piccoli
2014 Gewurztraminer (W,O)
“The grapes for this wine harvested throughout October from 25-year-old vines. The juice was left in contact with the skins for an extended period of time (36 hours) in order to enhance varietal qualities. The juice was then cool fermented 15 C in stainless steel tanks and finished in an off-dry style. This varietal is showing itself as a true aromatic variety with bright yellow-gold colour and aromas of exotic spices, lychee and rose petals， pair well with spicy cuisine and full bodied soft cheese.” Winemaker – Joseph Pohorly
2014 Gewürztraminer (W, O)
“Our Gewurztraminer is harvested from 30 year old vines located on our lakefront property. The wine has ripe tropical fruit, lychee, passion fruit and honey on the nose, with a touch of sweetness on the palate and a balanced, lingering finish.” Winemaker – Herbert Konzelmann
2014 Riesling (W)
“A vibrant rush of luscious citrus and green apple greet the nose and palate. Crisp and refreshing acidity allows for extended aging, with just the right amount of residual sugar for balance.” Winemaker -John Chang
2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (W, O)
“This Niagara red wine displays a rich garnet colour that boasts cassis, plum, vanilla and oak aromas on the nose, leading to array of flavours on the palate including dark cherries, anise, and well-integrated oak tones. 2015 Cabernet Franc (W,O)
“Our region’s unique soil and climate allows us to produce great single varietal Cabernet Franc. 2013 Balance Brut (W,O)
“This traditional method sparkling wine spent almost 3 years ageing in bottle, and is made from high quality, hand-picked, bunch sorted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the suitably cool 2013 vintage. It celebrates the balance of knowledge, passion and creativity of the winemaker, professors and students who all pursue excellence in the field of winemaking and viticulture at Niagara College.” Winemaker – Gavin Robertson
2016 Barrel Aged Chardonnay (W, O)
“This Chardonnay spent 12 months in French and American oak, It expresses itself with tropical fruit, green apple and a noticeable creaminess. The oak is integrated well and isn’t over-powering or too subtle, making this a perfect wine for pairing or sipped on its own.” Winemaker – Tim Reilly
N/V Andrew Peller Signature Series Ice Cuvee (W,O)
“One of our most awarded wines at the winery, this traditional sparkling wine is made with hand-picked Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. When the lees are disgorged, a ‘dosage’ of Vidal Icewine is added (110ml). The bouquet of apricot and ripe apple, with hints of honey, are followed by tropical fruits on the palate and a refreshing pink grapefruit finish.” Winemaker – Katie Dickieson

2014 Bella Terra Cab Sauvignon (W, O)
“Extensive skin contact gives this wine a glorious deep ruby colour. Intense aromas of sweet pipe tobacco, black cherries, cigar box, cloves and exotic spices. Firm tannins carry dark and rich flavours of dark chocolate, fresh black currants that give way to a long, smooth velvety finish. Grilled top sirloin steak, medium rare, no exceptions. Cellar 8 -10 yrs. Unfiltered.” Winemaker – Fred DiProfio
2017 Sand & Gravel Sauvignon Blanc (W, O)
” I love to pick fruit early in the season to preserve acidity. This acidity is balanced through the use of neutral oak barrels which the wine is aged in for 6 months. I find the barrels add texture and weight to the wine.” Winemaker – Ben Minaker
2016 Merlot Reserve (W, O)
“2016 will go down as one of the hottest, driest of seasons so a great vintage for reds in Ontario. Earthy notes lead you into the ripeness of plum, black berry and black currant. Well-rounded with soft velvety tannins characteristic of this variety with a fruit finish that is lasting and enduring.” Winemaker Roberto DiDomenico
2016 Angelina’s Reserve Gewurztraminer (W,O)
“Here’s a pretty, mouth filling, off-dry Gewurztraminer overflowing with aromas and flavours of lychee, peach, rose petals and ginger. Serve it lightly chilled with spicy curries, fusion foods, or seafood risotto.” Winemaker – Alyssa Bator
2014 Stratus White (W, O)
“A complex and multi-layered white to drink tonight or cellar for a decade of development. Intensely aromatic, this is one you will go back to over and over again to peel away the layers. Big character of apple, stone fruit, gooseberry, grapefruit and pomelo intermix with hints of vegetal notes such as green lentils and then floral such as honeysuckle. All rounded out by an underlying sandalwood character. The palate is rounded and already has a plushness that will only continue to build as the wine develops.” Winemaker – J-L Groux
N/V Sparkler (W,O)
“To celebrate Strewn’s 20th Anniversary last year I crafted our first Sparkling wine. An aromatic Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc made in the Cuvé Close method from fruit harvested from the Niagara Peninsula. It’s bubbly, crisp and refreshing with aromas and flavours of citrus (lime, lemon and grapefruit), grass, flint and yeast. It has a crisp and refreshing finish on the palate.” Winemaker – Marc Bradshaw
2016 Trius Red (W, O)
“The iconic red of Ontario. Trius Red is a gorgeous Bordeaux-style blend that has the perfect balance of power and finesse to elevate any occasion.” Winemaker – Craig McDonald
2015 Estate Series Shiraz Cabernet (W, O)
A trendy blend of 62% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Each varietal received barrel malolactic fermentation, then nine months of oak barrel aging before the wines were blended together. The final assemblage was then put back into barrel for a further 3 months (20% of the barrels were new oak; 50% American oak and 50% French oak). Wonderful notes of juicy blue and black fruits and black tea linger on the finish. Winemaker – Craig McDonald
